  • Prateek Parakh

    Prateek Parakh

    Prateek Parakh leads the Solutions4Business Inc. Consulting Team and is responsible for the Vision and Strategy for the firm. Mr Parakh expertise spans Supply Chain processes and Systems Implementation with particular focus in Mergers and Acquisitions, Strategy Development and Deployment, Business Continuation, Risk Management, Supply Network Design, Resource Planning, Supply Chain Strategy, Program Management, Organization Structure Design, Cost Reduction Initiatives, Process Improvement and Resource Education. He is responsible for setting up the PMOs and Steering Teams, Risk Management Structure, Account Management and Delivery Management.

    Over the years, Mr Parakh has been responsible for deploying teams to manage critical master data and drive up business usage of the system. Strong co-relation with service improvements, provide visibility and support needed to impact the underlying drivers of business waste, significantly enhanced responsiveness especially where excessive demand volatility and fast track innovations is the norm. He has also managed large scale system integration from strategy development, project planning, project execution and hand-off to business. His most current innovation is in the space of supply chain audits, where he has built a nine step audit engagement plan and five step audit framework to identify systems and process departures from management approved strategy and work with business teams to apply changes to get business processes and systems aligned with strategy.

    Mr Parakh has also brought innovation in continuing education space with a proprietary six step training development and delivery strategy that has been embraced by company’s clients. A unique strategy for an on boarding and training framework, bit size learning on activities that matter most for the client personnel. A focused program that can take new hires and turn them into expert users of the systems in a short time span delivering a significantly higher ROI. Business users can understand the basics of the business processes that exist in the company to be able to function and then take laddered approach to gain more in-depth knowledge in the business processes that they deal with on day-to-day basis. Structured approach based on the philosophy that concepts should be first and foremost, then processes and procedures and finally systems that support the execution of activities. Mr Parakh has also created an innovative Lean S&OP model combining the principles of Lean and S&OP, a unique approach that provides marked efficiency increase in operations planning and execution. Mr Parakh is also certified instructor from APICS and has trained users on variety of core supply and demand chain principles.

    Dr. Thomas J. Goldsby is Professor of Logistics at The Ohio State University. Dr. Goldsby holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Evansville, M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky, and Ph.D. in Marketing and Logistics from Michigan State University. Dr. Goldsby’s research interests focus on logistics customer service and supply chain integration. He also has interest in the theory and practice of lean and agile supply chain strategies. He has published more than 50 articles in academic and professional journals and serves as a frequent speaker at academic conferences, executive education seminars, and professional meetings around the world. He is co-author of Lean Six Sigma Logistics: Strategic Development to Operational Success and the new book Global Macrotrends and Their Impact on Supply Chain Management. Dr. Goldsby has received recognitions for excellence in teaching and research at Iowa State University, The Ohio State University, and the University of Kentucky. He is co-editor of the Transportation Journal and co-executive editor of Logistics Quarterly magazine. He serves on the boards for the American Society of Transportation & Logistics and Supply Chain Leaders in Action, the Research Strategies Committee of CSCMP, and as a reviewer for the Gartner Top 25 Supply Chains, LQ Sustainability Awards, SCLA Circle of Excellence Award, CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award, and University of Kentucky Corporate Sustainability Award programs. Since 2005, Dr. Goldsby has supervised more than 100 Lean/Six Sigma supply chain projects with industry partners, chaired five Ph.D. dissertations, and served as an investigator on four federally funded research projects, with grant proceeds in excess of $1 million. He has conducted workshops and seminars throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He serves as Associate Director of the Center for Operational Excellence, research associate of the Global Supply Chain Forum, and as a Research Fellow of the National Center for the Middle Market, all of The Ohio State University.

  • Mark Hehl

    Mark Hehl

    Mark Hehl’s career spans over 40 years and includes leadership roles in international operations, technology transfer, quality, reliability, cost reduction, supply chain improvement and lead time reduction in many industries in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. As a past executive for the Timex Corporation, Mark implemented Six Sigma at major suppliers in China and at other worldwide corporate facilities. In recognition of his contributions, these Chinese suppliers honored him with the award of the Chinese name 何 文楷 “Ho Man Kai,” which is Cantonese for “good and knowledgeable.”

    Mr. Hehl holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from the New York Institute of Technology and a MS Degree in Management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. Mark is a frequent guest on National Public Radio and is listed in the United Who’s Who Executive Directory. He has also authored over 25 technical papers on various Business Process Improvement & International Business Development subjects and is writing a book titled Improving Your Operations in Emerging

    Mr. Hehl spends a significant amount of time at both domestic and at international locations assisting his clients and their suppliers. He is very familiar with the Latin American and Asian cultures and ways of conducting business there.
